Our annual OMRF Golf Tournament at St Clair Golf Course on Friday was a fantastic day of golf, fun and fundraising in support of medical research in Otago.
The wind certainly made things interesting at times, but thankfully the weather was kind for most of the day. Most importantly, we were delighted to see so many teams come along and support the Otago Medical Research Foundation.
The generosity shown throughout the day was particularly appreciated, with players getting behind our raffle, auction and on-course fundraising challenges, including Beat the Dice and Pro on a Hole.
There was also plenty of excitement on the 16th hole, with the opportunity to win a Mitsubishi ASX for a hole-in-one, generously provided by Andrew Simms Dunedin. While no one managed to drive away in the car this year, the prize certainly added some extra pressure to the tee shot!
We were also grateful to Jason Hynes from LJ Hooker Dunedin for keeping the live auction moving, and to all our sponsors, teams and volunteers who helped make the tournament such a success.
A special thank you goes to our Major Sponsor, Challenge Marketing Ltd, for their continued support, as well as all of the businesses and organisations who contributed to the day.
Congratulations to our winners
Congratulations to Forsyth Barr Ltd, our 2026 tournament winners and trophy recipients.
Runners-up: Deloitte, Bayleys Dunedin, Amalgamated Builders, and The Bottle-O Hillside & Mosgiel.
Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, sponsored, volunteered or helped spread the word. Your generosity helps us continue supporting innovative medical research in Otago through our annual research grants and Summer Research Scholarships.
