With Type 1 diabetes in her family, she knows that while finding cures for diseases is incredibly important, improving the quality of life for people living with medical conditions is just as vital. OMRF funding to researchers at the University of Otago has contributed to world-leading diabetes technology research, including work improving insulin delivery and glucose monitoring for people with diabetes in New Zealand and around the world.
On this basis, Jane has committed to donating $300 from every property she sells to support medical research through the Otago Medical Research Foundation.

The Foundation supports medical research carried out right here in Otago, from early-stage studies to scholarships for talented students and emerging researchers.
