Engagement Manager, Tracey Fleet, attended a Community Grants presentation and afternoon tea hosted by the Otago Masonic Charitable Trust on Sunday 7 June.
The event celebrated the recipients of the Trust’s 2026 Community Grants. The Otago Medical Research Foundation was one of 12 organisations from the Greater Dunedin area to receive Community Grant funding, among 35 organisations supported across Otago.
Tracey was one of only two grant recipients invited to speak, providing a short overview of the Foundation’s work and impact. We were honoured to have the opportunity to share how donor support helps advance health research and education in our region.
As the Foundation receives no Government funding, support from organisations such as the Otago Masonic Charitable Trust is greatly appreciated. This grant will enable us to purchase a replacement laptop, supporting the Foundation’s day-to-day operations and ongoing work.
Presentations were made by Mayor Sophie Barker, with the Hon Rachel Brooking also presenting a separate grant.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the valuable work being undertaken by community organisations throughout Greater Dunedin and the wider Otago region. We extend our sincere thanks to the Otago Masonic Charitable Trust for its generous support.
