A Night to Remember 2018

12/07/2017

A night of high emotion, entertainment and contrast … that’s all in-store for guests at the Foundation’s annual dinner, A Night to Remember 2018.

To be hosted in the Dunedin Town Hall on Friday, 16th February, A Night to Remember 2018 will bring to the stage two genuine international legends who will come from opposite ends of the cultural scale.

Li Cunxin will tell his story as Mao’s Last Dancer … a tale of intrigue, a harsh upbringing, political machination and a spurning of and by his previous masters. It is a narrative of extreme sentiment.

Then, in his own inimitable front-foot style, we’ll be enthralled by the anecdotes and reminiscences of cricketing knight Sir Ian Botham. ‘Beefy’ Botham is one of the great all-rounders of the sport with his best performances reserved for the arch-enemy, those wearing the baggy green caps of Australia. It’ll most certainly be a case of A Knight to Remember on A Night to Remember.

Shane Cortese and his brilliant 8 Track Band are back by popular demand, there’ll be a spectacular opening, a raffle and auction second-to-none, and the usual incomparable wining and dining. This is an event not to miss.
Just 40 of the 460 seats remain available for sale.
