The Otago Medical Research Foundation is delighted to be teaming up with the New Zealand International Science Festival in Dunedin (8th to 16th July) in bringing Peter FitzSimons to the city.

The noted author and columnist will be speaking at a Club Otago lunch on Wednesday, 13th July – reservations currently stand at 330 and tickets are still available – and will then be involved in a panel discussion that evening discussing‘Concussion in sport: Big issue or should we just shake it off?’

Right through the grades, concussion and head injury is one of the major concerns facing sport and this discussion will make for compelling listening. Peter, who is on a campaign in Australia to have sporting authorities take greater responsibility, will be joined by Professor Damien Bailey from Wales and Professor John Sullivan from the University of Otago.

The discussion will take place in the St David Street lecture theatre, running from 7.30p.m. until 9p.m. and tickets can be purchased through Ticket Direct here.
