As the Managing Director of two recruitment companies Select Recruitment and Oyster Executive Recruitment, Foundation patron Karen appreciates the alignment of their work and the Foundation’s in supporting talent. “I like the natural synergy between our work in attracting talent and the Foundation’s in helping young researchers to potentially establish their careers.”
Oyster Executive Recruitment has supported the Foundation for the last four years, as key sponsor for the annual “Night to Remember” fundraising dinner.
For Karen, who is Dunedin born and bred, the sponsorship goes beyond the feel-good factor.
“As a business owner in Otago, I think we should give back to our community, and to me it made sense to make this our key community focus.”
“The work the Foundation does is incredible – the research is far-reaching and affects everyone in some way – we have heard some fabulously heartwarming stories of the difference the research has made.”
