Successful December Club Otago lunch held
05/12/2024
The Foundation hosted our final Club Otago for 2024 with a delicious Christmas-style Club Otago lunch at the Glenroy Auditorium on 5th December.
Melanie Miller gave us an overview of the exciting work she is doing investigating measles immunity in young adults and new vaccine technologies, which gained a 2024 OMRF Annual Grant and very recently, funding from the Health Research Council (HRC). Melanie is now working towards a PhD and we wish her all the best!
After lunch, Dr Ian Griffin took us on a photographic journey while sharing some personal stories about his family, his love for Dunedin and astronomy, and his passion for museums. Ian's talk was funny, insightful and his photography was beautiful. We truly appreciate Ian giving up his time to share these stories with us.
We had a fantastic and engaged group of attendees with many familiar and new faces to our Club Otago event. This is great to see and something we hope will continue in 2025.
Thank to your guests for their support - everyone had a great time. A huge thank you also to our raffle sponsors - Challenge Marketing, Moyle's Fresh Choice, The Jitsu, and Village Green.
