Who's winning - the cheats or the testers?

Date and Time

Drug use and abuse in sport is an ever-growing issue and often it seems a race between the chemists and the drug testers. Unfortunately, the testers often seem a pace or two behind but not for the lack of trying.

Leading the pack in the race to chase down the cheats is New Zealand’s own David Howman, the Director General of WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency.

David took up duties with WADA in 2003 and has been based in Montreal, Canada for the last 12 years.

Armed with some of the most horrific stories imaginable, having heard the best (and worst) of excuses and with a steely eye on the perpetrators, David will be our Club Otago guest speaker on Friday, 30th September 2016. His address will be one not to be missed.
